Description
The FAB-GYTY53 is a rugged and high-capacity outdoor fiber optic cable designed for installation in ducts, overhead routes, and direct burial applications. It incorporates 250 µm fibers enclosed in high modulus plastic loose tubes, which are filled with a waterproof compound to ensure optimal fiber protection.
At its core lies a metal reinforcing element, surrounded by twisted loose tubes and fillers to create a round and compact structure. The interior is filled with water-blocking gel, then encapsulated in a polyethylene inner sheath. For enhanced durability, a dual-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) is longitudinally applied, followed by an additional PE outer sheath for mechanical protection.
The non-metallic strength member structure ensures excellent tensile resistance and crush performance, with high reliability in extreme temperatures ranging from –40°C to +70°C. This cable is built for long-distance outdoor deployments where environmental toughness and optical integrity are critical.
Compliant with industry standards, it is ideal for telecommunications carriers, ISP infrastructure, and FTTH network backbones requiring armored, multi-layered protection in harsh conditions.
