Self-supporting ASU cable with 2 FRP rods and G.652D fiber for spans up to 120m | Mod. GJYFXTH_A-1
Fibramérica’s ASU Fiber Optic Cable (GYFFY), Mod. GJYFXTH_A-1, is a compact, fully dielectric solution engineered for self-supporting aerial installations. Designed to meet the needs of ISPs and telecom operators, this cable offers a reliable and cost-effective alternative for FTTH and outside plant network deployments.
Constructed with G.652D single-mode fiber, it supports up to 24 fibers in a gel-filled loose tube that protects against water ingress and ensures stable signal transmission in the 1310–1550 nm range. Its design features two FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) rods that provide tensile strength while maintaining flexibility and reducing weight, ideal for spans of 80–120 meters.
Unlike ADSS cables, ASU cables do not require metallic elements or grounding, simplifying installation and reducing costs. The outer jacket is UV-resistant and built to endure harsh environmental conditions. Delivered on reels of up to 3 km, the cable ensures easy transport and efficient deployment.
Its performance, lightweight build, and low installation complexity make it an ideal option for aerial installations, transitions to ducted networks, and compact outdoor FTTH rollouts.
