Description

The FAB-OFC-F16 by Fibramérica is a compact yet high-capacity fiber splice closure designed for protecting and managing optical cable joints in next-generation networks. Built with a reinforced P.P+GF body and ABS splice trays, this unit offers robust performance, durability, and long service life in outdoor, underground, or aerial environments.

With a modular structure accommodating two splice trays, each capable of splicing up to 24 fibers, this closure supports a total of 48 fiber terminations. It includes storage baskets for fiber slack management and supports the integration of a 1×16 PLC splitter, offering flexibility in signal distribution for FTTX networks.

The enclosure features a fully mechanical sealing system with clamp and O-ring technology—no additional adhesive is required. Stainless steel internal components and an earthing device ensure resilience and protection against lightning damage. Rubber-sealed cable ports and hinged splice trays allow quick access and maintenance without disturbing adjacent splices.

Ideal for use in manholes, ducts, aerial setups, or direct burial, the FAB-OFC-F16 is compatible with most cable constructions, including single fiber and ribbon, and various structures like loose tube, modular, and slotted core.
