The LV Series Visual Fault Locator (VFL) is a compact, powerful tool designed for quickly identifying breaks, bends, and faults in optical fibers, cables, and patch cords. As an essential companion to an OTDR, it is particularly effective in detecting issues that lie within the OTDR's dead zone—making it indispensable for on-site fiber maintenance and troubleshooting.

Engineered for portability and field durability, the LV Series features a mini-sized design with a robust casing. It includes a universal 2.5 mm optical connector and a replaceable ceramic tube to ensure long-term usability. Technicians can choose from various output power levels ranging from 1 mW to 30 mW, depending on the required detection range, which spans up to 15 km.

The VFL operates with a visible red laser at 650 nm ±10 nm, with modulation options in continuous wave (CW) or 2 Hz pulsed output.
