The FIBRAMÉRICA FAB-HY-90 Fiber Optic Polishing Machine is a compact professional platform developed for the production, termination, inspection and repair of fiber optic connectors. By integrating polishing, UV curing and end-face inspection into a single unit, it centralizes the key stages of connector preparation and reduces the need for multiple standalone devices at the workstation or in the field.
Designed to work with SC, FC and LC connectors, the FAB-HY-90 supports both UPC and APC end-face configurations according to the installed fixture. Its standard operating cycle combines approximately 80 seconds of polishing, 12 seconds of UV curing and 252× optical inspection, providing technicians with a fast and structured workflow for connector processing.
The integrated 3.5-inch IPS display and end-face detection system allow technicians to inspect the finished connector directly on the machine and adjust image focus when necessary. The equipment also incorporates replaceable connector clamps, a polishing disc, UV curing area, clean-water reservoir and waste-water collection system in a compact integrated architecture.
After polishing, the connector can be immediately inspected to verify the condition of the fiber end face. If the result is not satisfactory, the FAB-HY-90 includes a dedicated one-click repair function that allows the connector to be reprocessed without rebuilding it from the beginning, with an approximate repair cycle of 45 seconds.
The system is suitable for a wide range of professional fiber applications, including FTTH/FTTX deployment, data center rectification, 5G installation, patch cord preparation and general connector end-face repair. Standard configurations include SC-UPC, LC-UPC and FC-UPC clamps, while APC and ST fixtures are available as optional accessories for broader deployment requirements.
With dimensions of only 209 × 123 × 104 mm, a weight of approximately 2.3 kg and rechargeable battery operation, the FAB-HY-90 is designed for both workshop and field use. An internal battery is supplied as standard, while an optional external battery can extend operating autonomy for technicians working on installations where continuous access to AC power may be limited.
