The FAB-TM191 Visual Fault Locator from Fibramérica is a compact and efficient tool designed to quickly locate faults, breaks, bends, or bad connections in single-mode fiber optic cables. Operating at a visible red wavelength of 650nm ± 20nm, the FAB-TM191 is available in multiple output power variants — 1mW, 10mW, 20mW, 30mW, and 50mW — offering dynamic detection ranges from 5 km up to 30 km depending on the model. This flexibility makes it ideal for different network sizes and environments.
It supports both continuous wave (CW) and pulsed modes for easy fault identification, and its universal 2.5 mm connector ensures compatibility with most SC, FC, and ST interfaces. Powered by two AA batteries, the unit is portable and dependable for extended field use.
