Description
The FAB-GYXY is a lightweight, non-armored unitube fiber optic cable designed for outdoor installations where flexibility, easy handling, and reliability are essential. It uses 250 µm fibers housed in a loose tube made of high-modulus plastic, filled with a water-resistant gel that safeguards the fibers against moisture and microbending.
To ensure tensile strength and stability, the cable includes two parallel steel wires on either side of the tube. A layer of water-blocking material is applied over the core to further enhance moisture resistance. The entire structure is wrapped in a UV-resistant polyethylene (PE) outer sheath, providing additional protection against environmental stress.
