The Fibramérica Android IPTV/OTT Software Terminal combines an Android application with a dedicated USB activation dongle. The application runs on a compatible smart TV, projector or similar Android display, reducing the need for a separate conventional set-top box in a compatible deployment.
The dongle connects to the display through USB and must remain connected for activation and normal operation. Each dongle is uniquely associated with one software terminal.
The application and dongle support automatic service launch when the TV is powered on. Startup behavior is validated on the selected display models and firmware. Local APK storage supports application reinstallation after a factory reset, with the installation and recovery procedure defined for the deployment.
Each dongle carries a unique device ID, MAC address and serial number for inventory and terminal management. Integration with an existing set-top-box management workflow is defined with the service provider.
The terminal can be configured for IPTV/OTT services in hotels, residences and other managed environments. A customized hotel startup screen is available as a project option. The display, application, service platform and required licenses are selected together.
In a building network, this terminal provides the TV service at the compatible display, while the access network supplies connectivity. Explore Fibramérica FTTO & FTTR Systems for optical network distribution.
Provide the display models, Android versions, number of screens, IPTV/OTT platform, required channels and startup-screen requirements. Fibramérica can define the terminal configuration, compatibility checks, licensing scope and integration requirements for the proposal.

It runs configured IPTV/OTT services through an application installed on a compatible Android TV, projector or similar display. A dedicated USB dongle is required for activation and operation. This arrangement can reduce the need for a separate conventional set-top box.
Yes. The designated dongle must remain connected for both activation and normal operation. Each dongle is uniquely associated with one software terminal.
Compatibility must be confirmed for the exact device model, Android version and firmware before deployment. Android 4.4 or later is the stated software requirement, but this alone does not establish compatibility. LG and Samsung TVs are not covered by the compatibility offered for this solution.
The application and dongle support automatic service launch when the TV is powered on. Startup behavior must be validated on the selected TV models and configuration.
Each dongle is associated with one software terminal. A deployment with several displays requires a corresponding terminal and dongle configuration for each display. Replacement and reassignment procedures are defined for the project.
Bluetooth 5.2 is a listed dongle specification. Specific Bluetooth profiles, casting features, remote controls and audio accessories require separate confirmation for the intended deployment.
The commercial proposal defines the application license, IPTV/OTT platform access, channel package, content rights and any subscriptions. Specify the required services when requesting a quote.
The optical network provides connectivity throughout the building. The software terminal provides the configured television service on a compatible Android display. Display compatibility, network requirements and IPTV/OTT platform integration are checked as part of the project.
