The Fibramérica FAB-OFC-6818-DR is an inline fiber optic splice closure designed to protect and organize high-capacity fiber splicing in indoor and outdoor network installations. It provides six cable ports for cable diameters from 18 to 26 mm and supports up to 144 single-fiber splices or 576 ribbon-fiber splices.
Each splice tray accommodates up to 36 single-fiber splices or 144 ribbon-fiber splices, allowing the closure to support dense fiber-count applications while maintaining structured internal organization.
The closure uses a mechanical sealing system with hose-clamp cable entry and is rated IP68. The technical specification also states resistance to 72 hours of neutral salt-spray exposure.
The housing is manufactured from PP+GF plastic, with 304 stainless-steel and black powder-coated SPCC metal hardware. The product is specified as RoHS compliant.
The FAB-OFC-6818-DR is specified for wall-mounted and aerial-mounted installation and for other indoor and outdoor scenarios. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to +65°C, with storage from -40°C to +70°C.
