The FAB-TM501 Live Fiber Identifier from Fibramérica is a multi-functional and essential tool for field technicians managing active fiber optic networks. This handheld device identifies live fibers without disrupting the traffic, making it indispensable for maintenance and troubleshooting.
With built-in Optical Power Meter (OPM) and Visual Fault Locator (VFL), the FAB-TM501 provides a complete test solution in one compact unit. It detects core power, signal direction, and modulated tones at 270Hz, 1kHz, and 2kHz, and displays real-time data on a bright LED color screen.
Its compatibility with various fiber sizes (250μm, 900μm, 2mm, and 3mm) and easy-to-use metal gripper design eliminates the need for adaptor changes, increasing efficiency during operations. The tool also includes low power monitoring, aiding in safe and accurate identification.
