The FAB-GYXTC8S is a self-supporting outdoor optical cable with a unique figure-8 design, combining a steel strength member and PE adhesive outer jacket to simplify aerial installations while reducing deployment costs. Its structure consists of 250 µm fibers housed within a central loose tube made from high-modulus plastic and filled with a water-blocking compound for enhanced moisture resistance.
Designed with a full-section water-retardant structure, this cable provides strong protection against humidity and water ingress. A special compound fills the loose tube to ensure maximum fiber integrity and minimize microbending or mechanical stress.
Vertically applied steel tape enhances lateral pressure resistance, making the cable highly suitable for environments subject to external mechanical forces. The cable supports both aerial and limited duct applications, maintaining reliable signal transmission even under harsh weather conditions.
With a service life exceeding 30 years and compliance with YD/T 1155-2001 and IEC60794-1 standards, the FAB-GYXTC8S offers a cost-effective and robust solution for ISPs, telecom operators, and rural FTTH deployments.
