The Fibramérica FTTO Ceiling Gateway provides local network connectivity in rooms, offices and shared indoor areas. As a secondary gateway, it connects through a compatible FTTO fiber distribution network and provides wireless access from a ceiling installation.

Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with 2 × 2 MIMO supports compatible devices on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Built-in antennas keep the installation compact. A Gigabit Ethernet interface provides a wired connection when the device uses its GPON uplink.

Network configuration

The gateway supports GPON and GE uplink access, with bridge, routing and hybrid operating modes. If Ethernet uplink operation is selected, the single GE interface is assigned to that connection. Its networking functions include DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLAN and multicast, together with IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack support.

Multiple SSIDs and adjustable transmit power allow the wireless settings to be adapted to the installation. Local web management provides configuration access. Security functions include firewall, access control, content filtering and intranet ARP attack protection.

Applications

  • Hotel corridors, reception areas and meeting rooms within a designed indoor FTTO network.
  • Office work areas and shared spaces where ceiling installation suits the layout.
  • Classrooms, administrative areas and other institutional interiors.

Select the installation format

Use the Fibramérica FTTO Main Gateway as the central device in the same FTTO product family, subject to project compatibility and configuration. For installation on a desk or shelf, explore the Fibramérica FTTO Desktop Gateway, which has a different Ethernet port configuration.

Installation and power

Choose the location, secure ceiling fixing, optical connection and power arrangement as part of the network design. The power specification is 12 V, 18 W, with optional POF power requiring compatible equipment, cabling and device configuration.

This listing covers the ceiling secondary gateway. The main gateway, optical splitters, fiber, connectors and installation are specified separately. Mounting hardware and power accessories are confirmed in the project quotation. Optical compatibility and provisioning must be validated for the selected system.

Available wireless channels, the Ethernet port role and optional power arrangements depend on the selected configuration and installation. Actual throughput depends on the access service, network design, radio environment and client devices.

What is the role of this gateway?

It is a secondary device that provides network access in a room or indoor area. In the FTTO architecture, a compatible main gateway distributes the connection through the optical network to secondary gateways.

How many Ethernet ports does it have?

This ceiling model has one Gigabit Ethernet interface. Its port configuration differs from the desktop model, which has one GE port and one 2.5GE port.

Can it use Ethernet instead of GPON as its uplink?

Yes. GE and GPON uplink access are supported. Ethernet uplink operation uses the existing GE interface, so no additional independent Ethernet LAN port is available in that configuration.

How is it powered?

The power specification is 12 V, 18 W, with optional POF power. Any optional remote-power arrangement must match the selected device configuration, equipment and cabling. Standard Ethernet PoE compatibility is not specified.

Will it work with any main gateway or OLT?

Compatibility must be confirmed for the selected optical equipment, firmware and provisioning configuration. A GPON interface alone does not establish compatibility with every main gateway or operator network.

Does it provide analog telephone or USB connections?

This model has no FXS telephone interface and no USB interface.

What determines Wi-Fi coverage and performance?

Performance depends on installation location, building materials, radio conditions, connected devices, network configuration and simultaneous traffic. The position and settings should be selected for the project coverage requirements.

How is it installed?

The gateway is ceiling-mounted and requires secure fixing. Mounting accessories, cable routes and power provision are confirmed for the installation and included in the project scope as required.
